USTA Adult League Season Postponed Yet Again

By Lori Ayre, 07/14/20, 7:00AM PDT

New tentative start date is September 1

Here's the latest from USTA Norcal:

With COVID-19 cases on the rise, USTA NorCal has made the difficult decision to postpone Adult League play to  September 1st. Although recreational tennis remains a relatively safe and healthy activity, many counties are not permitting doubles play and facilities are unable to open their doors to guests.

The current team and player registration deadlines have been postponed until further notice and we will continue to work behind the scenes in hopes of announcing new plans for Adult League play in August. We appreciate all of your support and we hope to see everyone on the courts soon!

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

Adult League Staff

With  the Governor reversing some of the opening orders, who knows what will happen with courts.  So far, courts  in Petaluma are available for singles and doubles play  as long as everyone is doing social distancing and being attentive to hand sanitizing and minimizing sharing of equipment.  Fingers crossed we can keep playing.
