Dear Adult League Players,

USTA NorCal is dedicated to keeping your safety and well-being a number one priority during the COVID-19 pandemic and we would like to thank you for all the comments, concerns, and feedback you have shared with us.

USTA NorCal has made the difficult decision to cancel all 2020 Adult Leagues, and postpone the 2021 Early-Start Leagues. This decision comes as we recognize the fluidity of the situation, spiking case numbers across our Section and high variances at the city, county and facility level regarding restrictions such as prohibiting doubles and/or league play, and many facilities still being closed, partially closed or closed to non-members. Subject to change, the Adult League team is planning to start the 2021 Leagues in January.

With state, county and city orders and guidelines changing and potentially becoming more restrictive than the last without notice, the number of temporary rule changes, continuous play adjustments and the resulting disruption would not allow for the player-friendly and inviting league experience the Adult League Department aims for.

For those of you looking for an individual competitive experience, we will be offering a singles-only Fall FLEX League. More information to come. The Adult League team will continue to evaluate opportunities to offer other competitive team events throughout the remainder of 2020.

Adult League Staff and Committee are closely monitoring the developments and revamping the 2021 League calendar with the hope of coming back in full swing starting January 1, 2021.

We can’t wait to get back on the courts and see you all there!

Thank you for your understanding. Stay healthy,

Adult League Staff
